Job Description

The intern will execute their tasks within Ohana boutique consultancy, supporting the transparency and supply chain team in priority. The intern will have the opportunity to meet with clients (and policy makers) together with their direct supervisors or with other team members.

The supervisor will support the intern in their daily tasks, explaining how to work and providing directions, answering questions and supporting to solve challenges. The intern will work with their supervisor and the rest of the team, depending on the files.

The internship objectives are to monitor EU sustainability legislation, write reports, support in the management of the monitoring and webinar services, as well as participate in the brainstorming under projects and business development.

About the role

  • Monitoring developments and delivering up-to-date intelligence across sustainability policies to both Ohana team and clients
  • Attending and representing Ohana Public Affairs at Networking events
  • Helping the other team members in the analysis of the EU Parliament elections
  • Coordinating Meetings with Ohana team, clients and stakeholders (agenda setting,invitations,actions, minutes,thank you notes)
  • Supporting Ohana Webinar services (e.g., by gathering information,finalising slides,organising the sessions with the team and clients)
  • Contributing to Ohana’s Mission of driving change through awareness-raising (by contributing to the company blog)

Support to the Transparency and Supply Chain team:

  • Following key policies debates from the main European Institutions and reporting to clients, with extra attention to files under the scope of the Transparency and Supply Chain team.
  • Attending and reporting on external events hosted by EU Institutions and associations to the Ohana Public Affairs team and clients.
  • Undertaking Information research work and drafting policy briefs (e.g.,stakeholder mapping, analysis of legislative proposals, etc.)
  • Supporting the other team members in preparing business development projects

Profile

  • Master’s degree in European studies or equivalent;
  • Sound knowledge of European policy making process and EU Institutions;
  • Strong interest in sustainability and textile industry;
  • Wiling to work with organisations driving positive change and creating positive impacts through sustainability policies;
  • Excellent research and information-gathering skills, ability to synthesise information and extract key messages;
  • Fluent in English (orally and written) – additional languages are a plus;
  • Strong organisation and writing skills;
  • Enthusiastic, dynamic, and quick-thinker;
  • A good team player, able to work effectively in a small and international team;
  • Ability to show assertiveness, flexibility and autonomy and to raise issues to colleagues when needed

  • Location: Brussels, with the possibility of working from home 1 day a week
  • Starting date: 22nd April 2024 (flexible)
  • Contract: 6 months (April – September)
  • Under the Convention d’immersion professionelle (CIP)
